The Girl That Draws

This is me, as a kid. My mom let me pick out my own glasses. I don't know if it was the style in the 80's or what, but they always look about 10 sizes too big. My favorite outfit at the time was, of all things, a Ronald McDonald A-line dress. I don't even know how we acquired it (or--god forbid--ever PURCHASED it), but it was a fashion necessity at every social event for me as a child.

I even had matching red tights.

Hey, That's My daughter you are talking about... you ALWAYS seem to accentuate your faults or features... Why don't you see you like I did...? A fascinating, creative, interesting, beautiful little people!
You were Awesome, insightful, funny when you chose to be, not to mention BRILLIANT! When you were age two I had to fight you for my position of authority.
I always tried to answer your many questions as patiently as possible, attempting to put things in terms you would understand at age two..
So, When you questioned WHY I GOT TO BE BOSS, I said, because I do all the housework... you said, "I can do that" (really???), So I said, I do all the cooking... "I can do that" (?)... I do all the laundry... "I can do that..." By then I was wondering, why I DID get to be BOSS... and how to convince YOU I deserved it...!
So, Brilliant as I once in awhile can be, I said... OK, When you can carry me UP these 4 Flights of Stairs... (as I had to do you after the 1st or 2nd) ... Then YOU can be boss!.... (I WON!) (for awhile....!) I Love you... Mom
